Patience Jonathan denied use of PH airport VIP lounge

Overzealous security agents July 17 denied former first lady Mrs Patience Jonathan the use of the VIP lounge while traveling through the Port Harcourt International Airport.
An airport VIP lounge offers a quiet and comfortable place to escape from the crowds of the busy departure hall and largely used in Nigeria by highly placed people in society.
However, when the immediate past first lady tried to access the facility she was promptly stopped by security agents on duty to her dismay and those of other travellers.
Witnesses blamed the action as another vindictive act of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration against those who were part of the President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
Others said the officers were trying to please their superiors who are finding opportunities against perceived enemies of the present administration.
Recently the Directorate of State Service (DSS) invaded and laid a siege on the homes of immediate past National Security Adviser (NSA) Col. Sambo Dasuki (Rtd), arrested and detained former President Jonathan’s Chief Security Officer, Gordon Obuah and recalled from an approved study leave the immediate past spokesperson of the agency Maryln Ogar.
The Buhari administration has also promised to limit its promised probe of alleged corrupt activities to the Jonathan’s administration alone. However concerned Nigerians have called for caution in the execution of its plans.
