PDP commends army for rescue of Chibok girl

The People’s Democratic Party(PDP) on Thursday commended the effort of the Nigerian Army in the rescue of one of the abducted Chibok girls.

The party said that they have never played politics with the national security, urging the Nigerian army to dislodge Boko Haram from Nigerian territory.

A statement issued on its twitter handle:@PdpNigeria said:

“We wish to once again commend our ever gallant troops for the rescue of one of the abducted Chibok Girls.”

“As a party, we have always believed in the capacity of the Nigerian Army to defeat these terrorists and have always supported our troops.”

“We have never played politics with national security and will never do so. We wish our troops more success and urge them to crush Boko Haram.”

“We are proud of our gallant troops. We are with you and will continue to support you as you dislodge Boko Haram from Sambisa forest.”

“We urge every Nigerian to support our troops.”

The Nigerian army had confirmed on Wednesday that members of the civilian joint task force (CJTF), a local vigilante outfit, found one of 219 missing Chibok girls, identified as Amina Nkeki, after wandering in the Sambisa Forest.
The 219 schoolgirls were abducted by Boko Haram on April 14, 2014 from Government Secondary School girls at Chibok, Borno.
